Peter is an Industrial Designer with over 40 years of experience creating designs that embrace a philosophy of Responsible Innovation®. His work consistently solves problems with user focused functional inventions while creating visual communication through aesthetic principals, assuring usability through application of human factors and ergonomics and assuring manufacturability through application of production materials and manufacturing processes expertise. Beginning in 1970 and through 2012 he founded and led Bresslergroup; a user needs research, industrial design and engineering development firm in Philadelphia, PA. Under his leadership the firm’s projects received over 75 Awards for design and engineering and Peter, himself, either authored or co-authored over 70 utility and design patents.
His accomplishments as an officer, at the local & national level, in the Industrial Designers Society of America have resulted in his election to the Academy of Fellows and his receipt of the Lifetime Achievement Award. He has lectured about design in numerous events across the United States, including at the USPTO, and in events around the world.
In 2006 Peter participated in the formation of Integrated Product Design Program at the University of Pennsylvania and is still teaching there as an Adjunct Associate Professor.
Peter is now providing product design & development consulting and Intellectual Property Expert Witness services.
